Verification

How do I verify my identity (KYC)?

Complete the profile fields shown, start the embedded identity check, and follow the provider request until the status changes.

Updated July 18, 2026

Identity Verification appears as a step on the Verification page and can also open when another finance action requires an approved identity status. Gruv starts an embedded verification session; the session tells you which capture or document is needed for your profile.

Before you start

  • Confirm that your profile has your first name, last name, and country. If one is missing, Gruv opens Complete your profile first.
  • Use the person's real profile details. Do not substitute a company name for an individual name.
  • Have access to the camera or files the embedded verification session requests. The Verification page describes the usual identity step as a photo ID and selfie, but the live session is the source for the exact request.

Start Identity Verification

  1. Open Verification and find Identity Verification. Registered entities can see this step alongside Business Verification.
  2. Choose the action for the step. If Gruv asks for profile details, enter first name, last name, and country, then choose Save and verify.
  3. Complete the embedded verification session. Follow its on-screen capture, document, consent, and retry instructions rather than a generic checklist.
  4. Return to Verification and refresh the status after the session reports a change.

What each status means

  • Not started: open the step and begin the embedded session.
  • In review: the provider has the submission. Wait for the status to change; starting another profile is not the next step.
  • Action required: reopen the verification step and follow the new request or retry shown there.
  • Complete: the current owner identity status is approved for the verification hub. Other product steps can still have their own setup.
