How do I manage multiple workspaces?

List, create, and select a workspace in Settings, then confirm the active context before viewing records or taking an action.

Updated July 18, 2026

Settings can list the workspaces available to your account, create a workspace, and mark one as active. Treat the active workspace as the context for the next action. A workspace name alone does not establish a legal-entity boundary or prove how every finance record is separated.

View and select a workspace

  1. Open Settings and choose the Workspaces tab.
  2. Review Your workspaces. Each row shows the workspace name, your role, and whether it is active.
  3. Choose Set active for the workspace you intend to use. Gruv stores that selection in the current browser.
  4. Return to the product area you need and confirm that its team or workspace notice matches the selection before creating records.

Create a workspace

In the same Settings tab, enter a workspace name and choose Create. After the workspace is created, refresh the list if needed and set the intended workspace active. Creating the name creates the workspace record; it does not configure verification, team membership, beneficiaries, payout policies, or finance capabilities. Complete the setup shown for that workspace before starting payment work.

Check context before a finance action

  • Confirm the active workspace name and your role.
  • If the client account connects to multiple teams, complete the team selector shown on the payment, talent, or Payment Runs page.
  • Do not assume a talent, beneficiary, payout method, approval state, or batch from one context is available in another.
  • Before exporting or sharing a record, open it and verify the visible workspace or team context.

If the selection looks different elsewhere

The Settings active-workspace choice is saved in browser storage. A different browser or device can hold a different local selection. If a workspace is missing entirely, ask an owner to check membership rather than repeatedly creating new workspaces.

When contacting support, include the expected workspace, the workspace currently marked active, your displayed role, the page you opened, and the visible notice. Do not include credentials or bank details.
